Porta Volta, in viale Pasubio appears the Pyramid

Designed by Herzog and de Meuron to host Fondazione Feltrinelli. It’s the modern face of the city of Milan. To complete the project a 15 thousands square metres park in from of the new buildings.

In total the projects is composed by three new buildings. The first two, belonging to Fondazione Feltrinelli, overlook viale Pasubio, along the perimeter of the ancient Spanish walls. They host the Fondazione, its library, shops and offices. 188 metres in length and 32 in height, five floors and a style “inspired- tell Pritzker, Jacques Herzog and Pierre De Meuron – by the simplicity and the impressive scale of the architecture that distinguishes historical buildings in Milan”.

In November 2014 the first stone was laid, and one year later the dome, characterizing the architecture of the building, was set in place. The timing was completely respected.
